REVIEW For All Time FREE DOWNLOAD For All Time ´ E-book, or Kindle E-pub REVIEW Ö E-book, or Kindle E-pub Ò Jude Deveraux New York Times bestselling author Jude Deveraux returns to the ruggedly magnificent island in For All Time the second novel in her Nantucket Brides trilogy this time featuring the next generation of her beloved family of Montgomery Taggerts The wedding of Alix Madsen and Jared Montgomery is a glorious affair at an elegant little chapel in the woods followed by dinner and dancing all while moonlight blankets the festivities in a romantic glow While most guests are fixed on the happy couple Jared’s cousin Graydon can’t look away from a bridesmaid Toby. Because I have a house on Nantucket Island I often read books about NantucketThis novel has everything I hate about typical romance books non existing plot line superficial characters over the top situationsI don t have time to list all of them Why can t we have interesting romance novels which can be just novelsI know I shouldn t expect too much from a romance novel but the historical facts in this novel are just outrageous The names of current stores and restaurants are accurate and some of the whaling histories are sort of true But regency era Nantucket are dominated by The Society of Friends which looked down upon music and dancing The women never wore these revealing dresses Deveraux described The dominance of The Society started to decline after 1820 but not during the regency eraAlso the women on Nantucket were very independent and strong in those days They managed or run business while men were whaling Widows were not helpless like Deveraux described I know it s just romance but if it s supposed to be a historical romance I would like Deveraux to write somewhat accurate history I wouldn t like readers to believe that was a real Nantucket in early 19th century Magicalamity plot line superficial characters over the top situationsI don t have time to list all of them Why can t we have interesting romance novels which can be just novelsI know I shouldn t expect too much from a romance novel but the historical facts in this novel are just outrageous The names of current stores and restaurants are accurate and some of the whaling histories are sort of true But regency era Nantucket are dominated by The Society of Friends which looked down upon music and dancing The women never wore these revealing dresses Deveraux described The dominance of The Society started to decline after 1820 but not during the regency eraAlso the women on Nantucket were very independent and strong in those days They managed or run business while men were whaling Widows were not helpless like Deveraux described I know it s just romance but if it s supposed to be a historical romance I would like Deveraux to write somewhat accurate history I wouldn t like readers to believe that was a real Nantucket in early 19th century

Frankly I am not sure just how to grade this book I am not sure I liked it I have read many of the other books the author has written and have liked most not all of them I am not sure what exactly I did not like about this book Suffice it to say it will never be one of my favorites Graydon is immediately stricken with Toby when he spies her at a wedding When they meet for the first time he is even attracted to her and the reader learns she is finding him eually attractive The biggest obstacle they face is the fact that he is the Crown Prince of Laconia destined to become its king and betrothed to a young woman there who hails from a well situated family who has given and done much for the country In addition Toby is determined not to fall head over heels over any man and prefers she and Graydon remain friends during his extended stay on Nantucket The book paints a very unrealistic picture of a Crown Prince today from a small but vitally important country who provides the US with some exotic mineral the country desperately needs This background came across as very unrealistic and not well thought out to me As the story progresses there are numerous instances where Toby alone or along with Graydon experiences what may be time travel to another era but may really only be dreams The way the author integrates these episodes into the rest of the story left me wondering often than not when the event was really taking place how the event could have happened or what era the book was supposed to be in at that moment While on Nantucket Toby s twin fills in for him in Laconia and there are some events as well as the way they handle them which were far beyond what I would see as realistic I have read many other books by this author and I enjoyed reading most of them and loved them However this book jut did not do it for me I found the story a bit confusing at times The time frames in the plot as I said were not done as well as they could have I also did not like or enjoy many of the characters who came and went throughout the story The first half of the story went much smoothly than the latter half and that may have been because most of the paranormal eventsinstances happen in the second half Before reading the book I had not read the first book in the series and that may have been part of my problem though I sincerely found the book okay as a stand alone book and did not need the first book to understand the story The book will appeal to the author s readers and those who enjoy romance without being concerned that the book is unrealistic and often defies common sense and logic I received this from NetGalley to read and review Solutions Manual for Insulation Coordination for Power Systems planning acclaimed novelist Victoria Madsen’s lavish wedding Since they both know their union is impossible the Garfield Swallows His Pride pair Titanshade promises that they will never be than just friendsBut there’s going on between Graydon and Toby than her uniue Ai Weiwei's Blog Writings Interviews and Digital Rants 2006 2009 power to tell him apart from his twin At work are forces beyond their control which are ruled by time itself Combine that with the magical island of Nantucket and a seductive spell is cast over Graydon and Toby If they are to be together they must change what once was as well as what will be.
